I was born and raised in Toronto, but have lived in words for as long as I can remember.
I earned two degrees in English (Hons. B.A. and M.A.) and started a third, a Ph.D., while working nights as a DJ and barback on Queen St West. Soon after, I realized that the things I thought mattered - and what actually mattered - were quite different. So, I left academia, got married and started a family.
After grad school, I repurposed my academic training as a writer, researcher, and educator into content marketing at some of Toronto's fastest-growing B2B SaaS companies: Nulogy, Top Hat, Personify, 7shifts. I created everything from whitepapers and sales decks to video productions and full website refreshes from scratch.
When the pandemic hit and our first son was born, I discovered crypto. I bought BTC and ETH, stored it in a hardware wallet, experimented with DeFi, traded NFTs, bridged assets across ecosystems, yield farmed, got rekt, lurked Discord servers and obscure Telegram channels. All in pursuit of learning and alpha.
What I found instead was a terrible need for high-quality content. So I took the opportunity and made it my mission to work in Web3, creating informed, helpful, high-quality content for the audiences that needed it.
That led me to Kraken, then LayerZero (first marketing hire), Waves Labs, Kava Labs, and io.net. Building content engines that drove real results: 9M+ impressions, 430% SEO growth, ghostwriting for the CEOs of onchain finance pioneers Aptos and Lite Strategy.
Recently my consulting practice has let me go deep into the AI innovations that are transforming the entire sector. I provide AI enablement and strategic marketing services across the funnel to small business owners and high tech startups alike.
I am proficient at building agentic workflows, managing token spend, building skills and plugins, creating custom applications and creating high-quality content that ranks, drives engagement, and educates at a rate that even a year ago, would have been impossible. It's an exciting time to be in the industry.
